Engine

The engine was completed overhauled in January 2003 with an SMR of 79,200, including new main bearings. Since the overhaul the engine has only completed 13,658 operational hours.
Heat & Power Services were responsible for the engine overhaul.
There was a period between 2003 and April 2004 when the engine was not operational.
The alternator was removed and professional cleaned with a new SR4 bearing fitted in April 2004 with a SMR of 85514 and has only completed 7344 operational hours.
The engine has not been operational since February 2007. I understand the engine was turned over on a weekly basis.
We have inspected the engine and turned the engine over by-hand with little or no resistance beyond what you would normal expect.
Steam boiler
The steam boiler was designed to match the volume and temperature of the exhaust gas from the engine.

Container
The container was purpose built to house the engine, steam boiler, control cabinet. ACB, heat recovery heat exchangers and adequate ventilation fans and system.
The container is water tight. There are 2 large doors at the front, to allow removal of the engine, a personnel door at the rear of the container to allow access to the steam boiler. The container has a removeable wall between the engine and steam boiler. There is also interconnecting door between the engine compartment and the steam boiler compartment.
